Got diagnosed Oct. 30th…thoughts from Israel…on ameloblastoma treatment

Posted on Tuesday, live from Israel from journal entry…

Today is Monday 5:38 pm in Dallas, but we are actually in Israel at 1:39 am on Tuesday morning.  We are surrounded by an incredible peer group, called the Platinum Partners and Tony Robbins.  We came to Israel and Egypt for a week of a ultra-incredible vacation and seminar with Tony Robbins, one of the people we admire the most in the world. The story of my life this year is called “Blessings and Lessons” or like my good friend and mentor Steve Linder said, Blessons.  I’ve had the MOST INCREDIBLE year of my life, turned 40, achieved everything in life I ever wanted to…and I have also been blessed with one of the biggest challenges and gifts of my life.  Why do I call it a gift?  Because it’s an opportunity to grow and break-through and take my life to the next level.  Think back to some of the biggest challenges you have had.  What did you learn from them?  Are you stronger because you went through them?  What gift did they leave you?

On October 30th, I was in Utah treating with my holistic Doctor Carlston.  Even though I had no diagnosis yet, I knew that to heal a tumor whether through surgery or holistic methods, you have got to clean up the body and also take care of the emotions, traumas from your past that you might still carry with you.  Your emotions can strongly affect your actions.  Rather than just settle for the typical ameloblastoma treatment, I decided to also work on the mental and emotional side which is huge in influencing the regular scheduled surgery.  The ameloblastoma treatment includes one or two major surgeries where they would remove a part of your jaw along with 2 mm around the tumor area, and they may have to go into (and most of the times they do) the jaw bone.  Then they replace it with a metal bar and do a second surgery as part of the ameloblastoma treatment to remove a part of the hip bone, do reconstructive surgery and later on implant the teeth that were lost as part of this surgery.

So while in Israel, I decided to become a master of my emotions.  Emotions can influence your thoughts, your actions…I could be focused on the ameloblastoma treatment, but I’d rather focus on the gift this whole situation has given me.

Think about this…think about a the most embarrassing moment of your life.  How do you feel?  What are you focused on?  Have you noticed your body reacting in a different way?  Now think of one of the most beautiful memories of your life.  Think of a time when you were absolutely happy and fulfilled.  Doesn’t your body now make you feel differently?  Your emotions create your thoughts which lead to ACTION!

So…I already knew I had to see my doctor and start preparing myself to a strong mindset.  As Dr. Carlston and Angie his beautiful wife who has made a full recovery from MS were having lunch with me, I got a call from my oral surgeon Dr. Creed.  He proceeds to tell me:  “I have bad news for you.  It is a ameloblastoma like we previously discussed, so we need to proceed with the surgery because this can not wait.”  I answered:  “Wonderful, thanks Doctor for calling me back, so what’s the next step?”  I made sure that I kept strong and radiant and loving and positive.  Whatever energy you send your body creates emotions, so I was very careful to be aware not to activate the “fight or flight’ mechanism in my body, as I knew that causes stress and 95% of all problems are caused by stress.  As a matter of fact, according to Louise Hay, who wrote the book “You Can Heal Your Life” she says that we store different emotions in different parts of our bodies and that emotions are directly linked to disease.  For example, a big contributor to cancer is resentment…and much…much more!!

Can you ask yourself at this point what have been some of the emotions or traumas that have affected your life?  Would you like to release them and be free from them?  Would you like to keep the learnings and release the negative energy around that situation?  Take a deep breath…accept that emotion in your body..welcome that emotion in your body…and now release the energy that is holding you back…keep the learnings from that situation, but release the emotional stress around the situation.  Take a deep breathe…time to release that which doesn’t serve you any more…

This is what I’ve been doing consistently every day while I walk through the healing process.  The oral surgeon talked to my Doctor Carlston and said he has been doing this for over 20 years and he has never had someone respond to this in such a positive way.  He was wondering if I was okay…lol!   OF COURSE IT IS OKAY.  I’m determined to heal and move forward!!

It is now 2:05 am and at the Israel airport, after going through security which took almost three hours for a group of 100 who is taking a private jet to Egypt…they just told us that it would take about 3 more hours to clear the fog!!!  FOG THIS!  lol.  If you are going to be stuck at an airport, it might as well be with the one and only Tony Robbins and his Platinum Partner group, an elite group of entrepreneurs and millionaires who join this exclusive club and pay a hefty fee to be a part of this group and have an incredible peer group!  We are all going KOOKOO it’s late and we have gone a long day of tours that started at 7am and we went to Jerusalem, Bethlehem and then the site where there is major conflict in Israel and then a beautiful solution that Tony Robbins has partnered with to help bring peace to Israel. wow!!  we woke up at 630am to work out and get everything ready.  we will have been up for 24 hours!  What a test of our Tony Robbins skills!  This is nothing compared to walking on fire with Tony Robbins at his event called Unleash the Power Within!

SO…here is a summary.

*              I got my diagnosis on October 30th. of an ameloblastoma

*            Thanks to my healthy eating habits they found no cancer because there is zero toxicity around the tumor.

*            Great and not so great, because there is no cancer, it’s a bit more challenging for holistic doctors to remove it, since it’s an organ tumor.  My friend had been diagnosed with terminal cancer and after three months my doctor helped her clean out all the toxicity around the tumor and by the time they did the catscan, all they found was the membrane and no cancer.  The doctors called it “spontaneous remission.”  I call it the right holisctic doctors working on the right nutritional plan and treatment to clean the body up of the toxicity.  Some of this sounds very unconventional, but believe me, i speak from over seven years of experience and have an extensive network of holistic doctors if you ever need a helping hand or know someone who is healing or recovering.

*            I am turning my greatest challenge into my greatest gift.  This is the reason I created my blog.

*            Surgery is scheduled for Dec. 13th, Monday in Utah with some of the best doctors in my industry.

*            HOWEVER….I am working almost every day I have available to go through treatment with Dr. Carlston so God can guide me through the healing process.  I am determined to heal holistically in the next four weeks.

I was writing a book this year called “Fabulous at Forty”  and God has decided I need an extra chapter in my book.  One about embracing the challenges and turning them to gifts.  Are you ready to surf this beautiful ocean with me and catch some rainbows?  Come on in!

Yvette, I am working through a book called “Success Is Not An Accident” by Tommy Newberry. In the book there is an activity to help with creating a personal mission statement – the task is to list the people you admire and respect most, along with the character traits they possess – and you are ABSOLUTELY at the top of my list. I admire the strength that comes from within you along with your pure joy of life. I put you in the same category of women of strength as Kim Eaton. Add me to the people who believe for your full healing and the gift you have been given to be an example for others. God Bless! Anne

  8. I saw you at Regional in Nashville, Tn. Your blog is so encouraging to someone like me. I work with people everyday trying to encourage them to recognize that emotion is the root of their physical problems. Energy work is a great way to reduce tumors as well. Whether they are cancerous or not. If I can help you, please contact me. Healing is a passion that God has given to me and as a gift. Praying for you daily.

    Dear Yvette,
Your words are beautiful and inspiring. When I found about what had happened, I immediately knew that you would overcome this and that you’d come out of it even stronger than before (if that is even possible since you are so amazing already!)
I will be praying every single day for your speedy recovery. With your attitude, anything is possible. I am here for you and so is the rest of the family. God has chosen YOU to go through this experience in order to help guide others. He has chosen very wisely because you are a woman with so many talents and a kind, gentle soul. Life has granted you yet another blessing- to give hope to others. Hope is the most priceless gift anyone can ever give or receive. Consider yourself truly blessed! Love you!
